The Growing Caldwell Family

We celebrated Maw Maw's birthday with her right after Labor Day and tried to make it a fun day!  We started with a fun breakfast that was yummy, too!  Then we took Maw Maw with us to Music Together.  We went home for naps and then headed to Lovie and Pops' house for a fun dinner and cupcakes!   SG and Charlie hold hands in the backseat a lot.  SG tells Charlie to hold her hand and he reaches out and take it.  These two are very sweet with one another! I love how she rides with her feet propped up and I am in love with these cute shoes! She had so much fun playing with the parachute! Charlie was quite tickled with the parachute too! Sarah Graves and I made Maw Maw some lemon buttercream cupcakes.  We used candy pieces to make some of them look like suns! Our fun dinner consisted of a variety of appetizers!  I think the favorites were chicken tikka samosas and cheese arancini.   ...

In my effort to record Charlie walking, I got tidbits of the evolution of him walking.  He can now stop, squat down, pick something up and go again!  He is just SO cute!

We had such a fun brunch on Sunday with Mom and Dad and Maw Maw Yvonne.  The food was delicious, too!   I am so grateful to have the time to spend together.   Now that Charlie is actually walking, I felt it was time for him to have a pair of shoes.  I think these are the cutest things ever and they are squeaker shoes!

Taking the day off on Friday meant that I had the chance to watch Sarah Graves' dance class.  She takes tap and ballet and is in love with tap.  I think most little girls like tap.  It's just fun to make that sound!  I enjoyed seeing her focus very hard and pay attention to her teacher and also interact with some of her friends. I have been off work for several days and it has been so lovely.  We have really just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves.  Saturday was a great day spent shopping and then watching the game at my parents'.   It was the kind of evening where we were all in a good place and seemed to just enjoy one another's company.  Mom, Jeanne', Maw Maw and I sat in the play room with the kids while Dad and Aaron watched the game.  We checked in on it, but we were mostly on baby duty. The kids had a ball just playing and being themselves.  We all delighted in SG's dance party with my iPad and Charlie happily toddled around holding someone's phone!  Everyone was relaxed and it just felt easy.  Knowing that I had several days off ahead made me feel relaxed and I wasn't stressed about how late the kids were staying up or all that needed to be done at home.  Such a wonderful feeling! Saturday was a great day for me as we spent the entire afternoon shopping! I love to shop, but hate making the kids spend time cooped up in a stroller while I look at clothes. Saturday they indulged me and were so patient. Aaron was a big help waiting while children napped and I looked. We went to new outlets just north of Atlanta and they were very nice. The layout is great and conveniently located for us. As her prize for being so patient, Sissy got to ride on those little toy things that I always say no to!
