More Beach Pictures...

Image
I hope you aren't sick of the beach pictures!  We just might be a little bit in love with this kid!  I try to narrow it down, but I love all her expressions and want to share them all.   Sarah Graves dumped some popcorn and that led all the birds to find her and Aunt Nay!  She loves birds and kept saying and signing for birds!  It worked out quite well for them to all come so close. I think that gets us through the first 1,000 pictures.  We're in the home stretch!

Some More Beach Fun!

The beach just kept getting better and better all week!  Sarah Graves had a ball playing in the sand and in the water.

More Beach!

By Tuesday morning the storm had moved out and the skies were clear and sunny.  The temperature was much cooler than we are used to, but it felt great!   We went out for a walk on the beach and SG loved the sand until she made a quick dart and ended up head first in the water.  The water was chilly and she was a little surprised and upset by it.   We headed in and got her in a warm bath where she could splash around more comfortably.    She likes the bath and in a big bathtub on her own it feels a little like a baby pool.

Beach Trip Part 1

Image
This has been a busy week, but I am finally uploading pictures from our trip.  I uploaded 1,560 pictures, so you can guess that we will have to have multiple posts to show the good ones :) We headed down to the beach the Saturday when tropical storm Lee was making its way to Louisiana.  We looked at the forecast and expected most of the week to be rainy weather, but decided a bad day at the beach was better than being at work!  Aaron's Dad and stepmom were already going to be in Hattiesburg, MI for a football game and planned to come spend a day or so visiting with us before they went back to Shreveport.  They are real troopers because they came on despite all the stormy weather.  They had to take a detour for a bit as they came up on a tornado forming along their way to us.  Then their trip home took them 4 hours longer than it should have due to all the wind and driving rain.  Grandchildren will make people do crazy things is all I can say! ...

GEAUX Tigers!

Because LSU is playing tonight and because we're up, here are some pictures of my favorite little cheerleader!  She is smiling because she knows she shouldn't be climbing on the kitchen table.  Here I think she looks a little like a sorority girl the night after the party!  I can say that about her because I'm her momma. My two favorite tiger fans!

Meet Sol

We had a great time at the beach and it was so wonderful to have that time to relax and just be. We took over 1,000 pictures, so I have a lot of sorting and editing to do to get to the 15 or so great ones that are worth sharing:). Many of the pictures have my behind in them trying to get Sarah Graves to look at the camera, so I have to research how to Photoshop a large object and shrink it (make it look more toned too?) while keeping everything else in proportion, a miracle worker tool is what I am looking for. Until I have all that done, I want to introduce you to Sol, the bear. We were walking through a Del Sol store when Sarah Graves saw this bear and was instantly in love! The part that changes color in the sun are his paws. They become multi-colored, but I don't think she notices or cares about that. She immediately picked him up and hugged and hugged him. I knew we weren't leaving that store peacefully without that bear. Daddy said that could be her souvenir, and she ha...

Beach Morning

Image
We take so many pictures that it is hard to sort and edit them on the iPad, but I took a couple while we enjoyed breakfast. Out on the porch watching the waves. Watching a wedding out on the beach right in front of us! SG was watching carefully and taking notes. Dada may have to watch out! MGotta love the local sunbathers not 20 ft.
