Easter

We did a lot to make Easter feel celebrated and to remind ourselves that life on earth is not the end. Losing two wonderful grandparents makes us all the more aware of how fleeting life is and how there is much to look forward to with Jesus.

We love to dye Easter eggs, but don't care for eating boiled eggs. So, Charlie helped me out by blowing out the egg so that we could bake with the eggs and still dye the shells.

Doughnuts to get energized for egg dyeing!

One thing we didn't anticipate is that a hollow egg does not sink down in the dye. Still fun to dye the eggs, but a little more work!

Nay organized an egg hunt for eggs filled with money!

Charlie made this yummy chocolate bark that he swirled fun colors in.

Sissy made some Easter JELL-O jigglers!

Silly girl heading off to softball!

Easter morning started early as we got ready and looked at baskets before call time for the sunrise service.

Hanging out while God's Light sets up for the service.

Sissy did a great job on her prayer.
The "Sonrise" service is completely led by the youth and they do a great job! It is sweet to see them step up and put their heart into it.

So happy that this year we get to celebrate all together.

Our early wake up was rewarded with a yummy breakfast at Snooze!

The much anticipated matcha latte!

After a luxurious nap, it was time to make our Easter meal.
We all felt the absence of Maw Maw as we sat around the table enjoying a meal she would have loved. We are grateful for those good memories and comforted that she is with Jesus.

Lovie set up a scavenger hunt for the kids to find favorite snacks and treats!

Jeanne' organized a special craft and way for us to remember Maw Maw.

We used flower petals saved from her funeral in epoxy and shaped like her favorite hummingbirds. After drying it made a nice keepsake and way to remember one of her favorite things.
