Spring Break Blast!

We had a blast on spring break going to Universal Studios!
Wouldn't be a road trip without a stop at Bucee's!

We got into vacation mode with dinner at Margaritaville. What good fortune that our reservation was right as the skies opened up for a downpour!

After dinner the three of us hit the hot tub while Aaron relaxed in the room.

The last time we were at Universal was the week before the COVID shutdown and we had great memories of that trip. Fortunately, it did not disappoint this time!

Do you wanna ride the Velocicoaster? Yes, we do! Multiple times! It was awesome!

You have to watch out for that Charlie velociraptor!

Seeing a "real" baby velociraptor! The kids humored me for the picture.

This was a lot of fun and they closed it right after our visit. The tunnel of water was so cool!

The kids forgot their wands at home, so we stopped off at Olivander's for Aaron to get a wand that they could share. Charlie then chose to buy Sirius Black's wand as his souvenir.

Sis and I knew that we wanted butterbeer ice cream again! In fact, we stopped off every day!

I love E.T. and all my great memories of it as a little kid!

We had talked so many times about the Chocolate Emporium and couldn't wait to go back. We had reservations for our first night and headed over straight from Rip Ride Rockit. Aaron mentioned he felt a little queasy after the ride and as we waited for our table to be ready, it caught up with him. Charlie was devastated that daddy would miss out on this great meal and was beside himself. In an effort to demonstrate resilience, I changed the reservation and took the kids for a meal that turned out really well!

We thoroughly enjoyed our pizza dinner after Charlie was assured that daddy was going to be better and we could figure out what to do if he still felt bad the next day.

He has a tender heart and loves his daddy so much!

She was so pleased with the pizza she chose and the chance to go by Voodoo doughnuts!

We brought back doughnuts to enjoy for breakfast the next day in hopes that Aaron would wake up feeling better.

Aaron woke up feeling pretty good and we decided to go forward with the contingency plan the kids and I put together the night before, going to Volcano Bay! We had no idea we would love it so much and it would be one of our favorite parts!
It was a perfect day! The water was heated, the sun was shining, and we all had so much fun relaxing on the sandy "beach"!

The Aqua Coaster and swift moving lazy river were our favorites.

Another night and we were ready to enjoy that delicious meal! It was just as good as we remembered!

Yes, she got a milkshake that had a slice of cake on top!

We ran into Professors Trelwaney and McGonogall!

Turns out we don't love ALL doughnuts! These were pretty gross!

She looked and looked for her souvenir and was so excited to find this! I was a bit my jelly myself!

We were frequent riders on the Hogwarts Express! Back and forth to see and do it all!

Seeing the castle lit up at night was so cool! Afterwards, we did a night ride on Hagrid's motorcycle!

Yep, ice cream everyday!

We had such a great time! So many fun moments and just a blast to have the time together!

They were so excited to pick Lucy up and love on her!

We are truly an amusement park family! I am so happy they are mine and I get to share these great times!
