For our second day at Dollywood we had sunshine!


This was Olivia's favorite ride!

We were happy to get a pink car!



Back on the bumper cars and the ride attendant stopped the ride until I put the camera away! Oops!

We learned about the bald eagles and other birds who live at the sanctuary.

The kids were not overly excited with the shows, but I enjoyed hearing Dolly's hits performed. 

We also checked out her tour bus, cabin where she grew up, chapel, and a replica one-room school house!


We rode the train and were a little surprised when coal soot came down on us!

We finished off our second day with a wild ride on their version of the log ride! We had a Chinese fire drill getting on as Sarah Graves was only willing to sit in the back, Lovie didn't know the boat was constantly moving as you got on, and Livy started screaming she hated Jeanne' from the moment she got on! It was crazy, but a fun end to the day.

Cheesecake on a stick! They liked it, but I loved the Dollywood famous cinnamon bread!

We had two awesome days exploring Dollywood! We couldn't believe the low crowds and amazing coasters! So much fun!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
