Pumpkin Time!

We spent the afternoon at Bennett Farms enjoying their pumpkins and lots of fun activities outside! The weather was beautiful and we were so happy to be out doing it together!

Charlie was intrigued by the odd shaped gourds!

The farm was decorated really well with great spots for photos.

The hayride was a fun way to check out the farm. 

Headed into the corn maze. Lovie and I remember several years ago we took the kids in one and it was Charlie and Sarah Graves who found our way out!

Sarah Graves loved picking flowers at the farm this summer and was excited to pick more with Pops this visit!

The kids found a few corn cobs on the ground as we went through the corn maze. They were so excited to pluck the kernels in hopes of making their own popcorn. It didn't quite work, but we did have some popcorn to pop, so it was all good!

We had a beautiful day checking out this farm and enjoying time together in beautiful weather! A great way to celebrate fall!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
