Charlie at Strong Rock

Charlie was so excited and brave heading off to camp! He went not knowing anyone and was not worried, just eager to get there! He went to camp Strong Rock near Cleveland, Georgia.

Thanks to Lovie and Pops, he had some stickers for his new trunk.

It was pouring rain as we dropped Charlie off. We stood under a tent ready to give hugs and say goodbye, but Charlie just sort of turned and walked away with one of the counselors barely looking back as we wished him a good time! At least we didn't have to feel worried about a tearful goodbye!

Camp divides the kids into two tribes, and Charlie was selected for Waya. He will be part of that tribe every time he returns to Strong Rock.

Charlie picked several skills to work on while at camp - flag football, archery, riflery, outdoor living,, rock climbing, and model rocketry. He enjoyed them all!

The whole time he was at camp, we would eagerly wait for new photos and we kept seeing Charlie with this boy, so we assumed they were buddies. It turns out, they were cabin mates and Charlie found the kid really annoying, but the photographer kept asking them to pose together!

Aaron had the joy of going to pick him up and seeing the camp closing where they announced the overall tribe winner - Waya!

Charlie made new friends, tried and liked new foods, and leveled up in several skills!  In fact, he liked it so much that he is already registered for next summer!
