Camp Fun
The kids have had some good times at Camp Chickamaw! These are some of the pictures that came home.
Sissy was proud to plant a hydrangea for Lovie and used her what she learned from Grancy to do it!
Taking care of Sissy and Livy by being their "waiter" at lunch! I like the hat that sort of looks like a hairnet!
There have been some fun times on the water.
They take time to do some "school" each day practicing reading and math.
They had a really fun time building a fairy house! Each kid built their own. The only downside is that they later learned there were lots of red bugs in the area and they all endured lots of itchy bites!

The kids love going for golf cart rides on "whiplash"! Pops put new batteries in Whiplash at the start of summer, then it continued to have problems. Finally, it died while out on a ride and they had to enlist the help of a neighbor to get it home. That led to a day long trip to Opelika to get Whiplash looked at. Despite efforts to make it a fun field trip, the kids were not too impressed. Luckily, the problem with Whiplash was a bad port for charging its batteries and it is now good as new!
These two have so much fun playing in the garage pretending all sorts of things sitting on Whiplash! On this afternoon they were playing cowboys with their rubber band guns! One of their other favorite ways to play is Indiana Jones where Charlie uses a bungee cord as his bull whip! They can be so creative!
Charlie really wanted to build a fire making a fire ring with rocks and using the flint to start it. Pops and Lovie helped make it happen and it became his favorite thing to cook a hotdog over the fire and make lunch for them!
Livy enjoyed her hotdog by the campfire!
Charlie and Pops have also worked in some chess!
Charlie lost a tooth at camp too! The tooth fairy was able to find him and everything!
