Outdoor Games

Aaron made breakfast for everyone before we settled on the sofa for TV church. Pre-recording the service worked well and no more glitch church as Charlie called it! After going to TV church, the kids asked to go back to the basketball area to play again. The weather looked like rain, but stayed dry. 
Sarah Graves was giving us a glimpse of her sulky teenager face. Not sure why she was feeling this way since it was her request to play basketball.

Charlie always has a smile for the camera!



Aaron and Sarah Graves make a good team! Poor Charlie gets very frustrated with my lack of skills and my lack of ability to read his mind and understand his "plan" to sneak the ball from Aaron and score! 

 We added the fun of playing with a frisbee to our basketball and four-square route! Turns out that I am not too good at any of these, but we sure did have some laughs!






Getting outside seems to be good for everyone's soul!

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
