Magic Kingdom Day 1

We covered a lot of ground our first day in the Magic Kingdom.  The park wasn't crowded and we were really excited to see it all!

The carousel in Fantasyland was a huge hit!  









Lady Tremain and the stepsisters stayed in character and acted just silly as they did in Cinderella.  


Riding It's a Small World

Charlie was so pumped to see Tigger!  I didn't know that he cared that much, but at every sighting of him he got excited.  One time we saw Tigger walking and Charlie said, "I miss Tigger, momma."




The Mad Tea Party was a big hit too!  SG spun hers a lot, but Charlie let his rest.  

We had great timing and caught the afternoon parade as we came out of Haunted Mansion.  








We had lunch at Be Our Guest in the Beast's Castle.  We thoroughly enjoyed our food, especially the Master's Cupcake with the "grey stuff"  The atmosphere in the dining room was lovely.  So much so that Charlie passed out on my shoulder!
We kept our Beauty and the Beast theme by going to Enchanted Tales with Belle in the afternoon.  A fun way to meet Belle!  


Pops was picked to play the knight in the skit. 


We had a great first day!  I don't think we could have asked for better!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
