Home Again, Home Again!

I recently had a meeting to attend in Savannah for several days.  Rather than stressing the kids out with me being gone, Mom offered to pack up and come down there with the kids (have I mentioned that she is the best and most devoted mom and grandmother?).  After Charlie's appointments, we loaded and headed down there.  
My days started early and went late, but I did have a chance to see the kids a little in the evening and put them to bed at night.  Charlie and I continued our middle of the night meetings as well.  My meetings went really well and were actually pretty enjoyable and Mom and the kids walked around and enjoyed live music and a fun fountain.  The meeting ended late Thursday night and we walked around Savannah a bit Friday morning before heading home.  We found the best shrimp ever at Tubby's Tank House and some yummy sweets before we left town.  
I promised SG a trip to the toy store, a rarity for us, and she picked out a rockstar diva dress up set!  After seeing an episode of Toddlers and Tiaras, she had the diva walk going!  

We came home and met Aaron and Pops at our favorite pizza place for pizza and music on the patio.  The band that plays is really sweet to the kids and makes it fun for everyone.  


The kids were thrilled for a chance to sit in this tree!  

I think the kids enjoyed their trip to Savannah and I know Mom was tired afterward.  I was glad to be able to see my little ones and still be able to enjoy representing Home Depot.

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
