Cruel and Unusual

Last night it seemed like she kept waking more than she has been other nights.  Maybe this was because of the rain storms we were having.  So today I am sitting here at my desk trying to stay awake and alert.  I think my level of sleep deprivation is such that I don't even realize anymore how much my cognitive ability has been impaired.  I only realize that I am not able to think very quickly. 
As I sit here trying to be productive it occurs to me that if you were to wake a prisoner up during the night every hour and a half or so and sometimes they could go back to sleep immediately and other times you kept them awake for about 20 minutes, it would be considered cruel and unusual punishment.  There would be massive complaining about how unjust it was.  Yet, this is just considered normal for parents. 
Keep focusing on the gummy smile and the cute giggle...they're worth it.

Yes you do get the giggle but I get the sleep!!! LOL!! Just had to throw a bone to the non-child couples!!!

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
