Friday Night - Pizza Night

Image
Aaron has been really busy at work and has been putting in some late nights, so Lovie and Pops brought SG home Friday night and took us out to our favorite pizza place! SG loves watching the band, seeing the train come right by, and watching the other kids. Plus, the pizza is delicious! The weather was great and we had a good time seeing Lovie and Pops. -

Baby Shot!

We haven't had a baby shot in a while; sorry about that.  I just love this dress and the sweet girl wearing it!

Play-Doh Play

Here's a video of her enjoying her play-doh. http://www.youtube.com/embed/JWx2vrYbtvo?hl=en&fs=1</a>" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

Play-Doh Passion

Image
Sarah Graves is totally into coloring and play-doh right now.  She doesn't really make much out of play-doh, but she loves to pull it apart and practice putting it in and taking it out of the small cup that it came with.  We also practice making snakes and our "sssss" sound.  She knows that if she puts it in her mouth, I have to take it away.  So she puts it right up to her mouth and smiles at me!  She is such a kidder! When I tell you that I could just eat her up, I mean every second of the day.  Sometimes I think I am going to burst because I love her so much.

GO!

Image
She is consistent. Anytime she spots LSU or a tiger she says, "Go!". In case you didn't already know that she's a monkey, she uses the hearth as her stage and I guess she gets tired of standing to perform, so she puts her chair up there! Mom and I have decided this cheerleader outfit averages to a 24 months size. The top fits like a 12 months and the skirt is long enough for a 3T! It is a cheerleader skirt for one of the Duggar girls, ha! I like the Duggars and all their 19 children, so that is said with fondness. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

A Yummy Dinner

Image
One of my favorite meals growing up was stewed chicken.  My great grandmother and my grandmother made it frequently and I loved it.  I decided it might be a meal that appealed to Sarah Graves, too!  It took me a while to make it, but it turned out so tasty. My grandmother would serve this with potato salad, but I don't like potato salad and neither does Aaron, so we skipped that part.  Instead, I made fried eggplant!  I love fried eggplant and could eat it like candy.  Such a treat! I had a happy customer!  She liked the eggplant, too. In case you're curious how to make stewed chicken, here's the recipe that I use from Talk About Good cookbook. 12 chicken thighs (with bone and skin) 2 onions chopped 1/2 c. chopped celery 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper 1 c. oil 1 1/2 c. flour salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper to taste green oinion tops Use a large, heavy pan and heat the oil.  Heavily salt and pepper the flour, dredge the chicken in the ...

Fall Weather

Image
This weekend was our first taste of fall weather and it has been wonderful!  We had temperatures in the 60's during the day and in the 40's at night.  I have been waiting for her to wear some of her new long sleeve things and we were excited to wear this outfit! She loves this stool and will bring it all over the place as needed to get where she wants to be!  I have seen a pattern for a darling wood stool to bring her up to the counter height, but we need dada to build it for us. It's so much fun to play outside when it isn't sweltering hot!
