See Rock City!

We had a fun time seeing Rock City gardens. They were hosting a Rocktoberfest, which added to the fun!


My favorite part about this picture is that they chose to pose here!

He was really enjoying himself. There was a mime who interacted with him and he thought that was so much fun!

Cutie girl was having fun exploring all the cool walkways.

We couldn't pass up this neat, carved swing. 


Two little birdies

This waterfall and beautiful scene was unexpected and that made it all the more beautiful.

We ate a late lunch at an outdoor table by these flowers and after wolfing down his hotdog and apples, Charlie had to get up close with the flowers. 
Aaron and I took advantage of their German specials and enjoyed  some yummy wienervschnitzel! 

Look at the rock above them. It looks so much like a face and I didn't notice it until I uploaded the pictures.

The section with these neat scenes from children's stories definitely grabbed their attention. This one shows the nursery from Peter Pan. 

This is Ik one of the garden creatures out and about. I thought they might have been creeped out a little, but they weren't in the least. 

Charlie doesn't often find things that he really loves, but he discovered this little pop gun thing that uses the cork to make a fun sound and he was quite taken. Excited for him to find a little souvenir he cared about!

We had such a fun day. We topped it off with a visit to a fudge shop and some yummy pizza for dinner!

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
