More Fun on the Lake

We woke up to a mother pretty day on the lake filled with breezes and sunshine!

Ryan and Sarah Graves worked together to mix up pancake batter! Sweet times for cousins to spend together.

Charlie calls the fly swatter a fly "swapper"! Everyone's kids run around carrying it, right? It can be a sword, a wand, or any other weapon a young superhero might need!

There was lots of fun on the water too. Jet ski, rafts, water skis, wakeboard, paradise pad, slide we used them all!








We came in for dinner and time to cheer the Tigers on in their victory over Miami!




Aaron and Charlie enjoyed watching football together. Aaron would love to have a football watching buddy and maybe Charlie will be it.

With both grandmothers celebrating birthdays in September, we needed two cakes!





I am so grateful that the kids have had a chance to meet and spend time with their great grandmothers. I remember three of my great grandmothers and always felt fortunate for that. 
I am also grateful that we could celebrate another birthday with them!

Frozen Party Details

Like most girls her age, Sarah Graves LOVES Frozen and has known for quite some time that she wanted a Frozen birthday party. I was so excited when I saw this invitation on Etsy and she loved it too! It reminded me of an infographic. The Frozen theme was a lot of fun! There were so many things to choose from that I took to pinterest and eventually decided on the ideas that I would use for this party. I found this great Arendelle banner here on Pinterest I was so grateful that my sister did a snowflake Christmas and had tons of snowflake ornaments to hang as decorations! This party theme was a lot of fun to plan the food. Kristoff's ice cubes were made from Jell-o with an ombre effect. I found the recipe here on Pinterest. I doubled the recipe to make a 13x9 size pan of it and I made 2 13x9 pans of it. The made plenty of "ice cubes" to fill 35 cups. They turned out really cute! My parents made this Elsa cake and did a fabulous job

Cloth vs. Disposable

We have mostly been planning to do disposable diapers because I felt that cloth would just be too much work when I go back to work.  Then, we saw these diapers called happy heiny's ( www.happyheinys.com ).  These looked much different than what I envisioned cloth diapers to look like.  Mom used cloth diapers with me and Jeanne', so she felt totally up for using them while Sarah Graves is at her house.  I started looking into the cost comparison and depending on what type of cloth diapers you buy, you can save anywhere from $1200 - $1700.  That is pretty attractive, not to mention knowing that you aren't filling up a landfill somewhere.  There are lots of different varieties of cloth diapers out there, but the ones that seem to be a good investment and user friendly are diapers that have snap closures, with a pocket for an insert to absorb the contents, and they are one size that adjusts as your baby grows from a newborn up to 35 pounds.  You can also purchase the traditio
