Family Date Tallulah Falls Gorge

We picked Sarah Graves up from camp and while we were in North Georgia we decided to visit Tallulah Falls Gorge. 
I'll admit, I was envisioning a family hike by a waterfall. I never imagined it would be a 2 mile walk going up and down 1,099 stairs! Talk about a thigh workout!





It was hot and humid, but we had a good time together! The kids were supportive in helping me not die as we came back up all 1,099 stairs!

I have wanted to visit a Chick Fil A Dwarf House for quite some time, but our schedule doesn't seem to line up to get to one when they are open. I was glad we finally made it!


Sis enjoyed the waffle with the CFA logo on it. Charlie and I really liked the sweet potatoes! 

These two were worn out and promptly fell asleep on the ride home!

I love that the kids have their fun, summer adventures, but I miss us all being together! Not sure I will like the chapter of life when they move out!

Check-Up

Since Sarah Grves did not listen to our request and come over the weekend, we had our scheduled check-up this morning.  All looks good.  My blood pressure and measurements continue to be fine.  We heard her heartbeat and it always makes me smile to hear that sweet sound.  We also talked about my growing anxiety about not going into labor on my own.  Anjili is very reassuring that 90% of women do go into labor by 42 weeks and we have every reason to believe that I will too.  We also talked a bit about how even if we do have to use pitocin to induce labor it doesn't have to be as bad as I feared.  She said that she will try to make it possible to be able to move around even though you are hooked up to the monitor and the IV.  Hopefully, we will go into labor on our own! Kick Off to Summer

 We had a great start to summer! Downtime at the lake with family was perfect after the busy rush at the end of school! We spent time with Aunt Brenda, Nikki, Andrea, Bobby, Fisher, Brennan, Kade, Aunt Linda, and Maw Maw.  Time by the fire pit laughing and telling stories. No idea why I don't have pictures of Charlie or Aaron, but they were there! Time for a boat ride! In May the water is still cool but feels good after you get used to it! Good to have some time to bob! The much anticipated karaoke night! Nikki and Aunt Linda had us rolling as they performed their first number with instruments! Bobby joined in and Livy was his backup singer! Pops with the house band! My favorite karaoke stars! We even got Aaron up to sing!  We laughed so hard, cheered for each other, sang our hearts out, and had a wonderful time! Steak! And a lot of it! Yum! Charcuterie lunch! This and That

While Sarah Graves was off on choir tour, we had some time with Charlie.  Play date with Ziggy. Always fun cooking up something, kicking a ball around, and inventing their own drink flavors! We spent a weekend at the lakel Then, it was time for Charlie to head off to Boy Scout camp! Sis came back from choir tour and got to work a journey for Seniors, a requirement before starting on the gold award.  Alexis was passing through Atlanta and we had a couple of great dinners! It was fun for her to see Sarah Graves too!
