Sarah Graves played 13U softball on Lightening with Coach Benden.  She was excited to play with 2 friends from school and 2 from church! Ella, Emory, Eva, and Lainey were all fun to have on her team! Being cheered on by Grancy! With her two biggest fans! A fun moment with this sweet brother! Game snacks! Iced sugar cookies for the win! Fun dinner after a game! She made some great plays out in right field! Batting still isn't her strength. In fact, she hates coming up to bat! Lightning made it to the second day of the tournament for the semi-finals! We were excited they came together and looked good in the tournament! This was her seventh season playing softball and she feels like she is ready to try something new. She loved playing and I am so glad she has a comfort to throw and catch the ball! Looking forward to what she does next!

Spring Baseball

Charlie was drafted to the Cincinnati Reds and we were excited for him to play for Coach Dunbeck again! Excited for Grancy to see his parade! Parade is such a fun community celebration as families line the streets to cheer on our guys as they start their baseball season! If you have a ball, Charlie is ready to play! He played first base, pitched, and did a little centerfield.  Lovie and Pops were his biggest fans! Dinner after a day of games. Game ball!  Dinner to celebrate the game ball! Little League day at the Braves! It wasn't the winningest season, but Charlie had a great season! With the support of Coach Dunbeck his pitching and first base plays get better all the time! He ended the season with a great hit! Can't wait to see how his game is when he gets the hang of hitting consistently! One of the funniest things this season was a really tall kid who played on another team and pitched. After a game he called, "Good game!" to Charlie in a very deep voice that sou...

Track Season

Sarah Graves and Charlie were eager to start track. Sarah Graves was looking forward to hurdles and Charlie was happy to practice with the team.  There was even a meet where 5th graders could race! So fun to watch them both competing! He chose the 400 and 800 races to run and did well! Time with friends makes it fun! Coach Goodwin is so good with the kids! Appreciate all the hard work she put into practices and meets! These girls ran a great relay and placed second! her biggest cheerleaders! Happy to cheer on Sissy! Both felt proud of their awards!
