The Growing Caldwell Family

We woke up to more beautiful weather perfect for riding bikes and exploring the gardens! Riding bikes was both fun and challenging! I hadn't ridden in a long time and forgot how challenging hills can be! Charlie and I had a little crash resulting in me skinning my knee (flashback to being 9 years old!) and he bawled and bawled over the fact that I was hurt because of him. Lunch and a frozen lemonade got us back on the right track for more fun! The butterfly conservation area was my favorite! So many pretty colors and beautiful tropical plants.  It was a great day to be outside and enjoying fall! I think we would like to go back again sometime!  

We spent another fun day enjoying time in the pool! After a yummy seafood dinner, we started playing crazy 8's and that might have been the best entertainment! Charlie and Pops played as a team and won 5 times in a row! They even had a dance! Oh yeah, oh yeah! Come to PaPa! They were hilarious to watch! Sissy got a little frustrated, but she was a good sport! Eventually, she won and she had a song of her own! This was one happy boy and he loves to play crazy 8's now!

The kids love to go to The Home Depot Kids' Workshops and it makes a fun date with daddy! He takes them for breakfast and then to the workshop. They are always fun, but this one kicking off fire safety month was really fun! They built fire trucks, which make great toys for their dolls to play with! There were snacks like popcorn and cotton candy! The firemen were there and let them explore the fire engine! They also had a bounce house! What a great time at our local Home Depot!

We had an impromptu family dinner at Taco Mac!

I still can't believe how well the kids respond to their dentist, Dr. Schwartz. They don't hesitate or get upset having their teeth cleaned. What a relief for me! Sissy's teeth are in good shape and she has 2 loose teeth! Charlie's teeth are looking good! There were no concerns about his palate now that the paci is gone.

Charlie dressed as Catboy from the PJ Masks, Sarah Graves was Princess Jasmine, and Olivia was a Cabbage Patch doll! We went to our neighborhood block party before going to trick or treat. Our neighbors put together an awesome haunted house in their garage. SG was nervous at first, but once she did it, she was a pro going through it a bunch! The kids love going door to door to get candy! Livy was happy to be along for the ride. We walked a good ways and Sissy fell asleep on the way home. Charlie was excited! Sissy perked up when it was time to sort candy. Everybody was excited to look at the candy! We had a fun Halloween and I am so grateful we were all healthy and had good weather to enjoy it.
