The Growing Caldwell Family

Last night, my cousin Lynsey gave birth to a little boy!  His arrival was a bit of a surprise to everyone as she wasn't due until January 10.  Lynsey went in for a check-up and her doctor was concerned about low amniotic fluid levels, so she went to the hospital and they induced labor.  Fortunately, all went well and their baby boy arrived late last night. They named him Wyatt Oneil Clark.  He weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and is  20 inches long.  Mom and baby are doing wonderfully.  Such a blessing!

Jeanne', we wanted to tell you last night at dinner, but we couldn't all get together. This was my next best idea! Mom has already staked her claim as head babysitter! We still need a lead nursery designer and we don't know anyone who would be better for the job!

Aaron and I have known for about 2 weeks and finally yesterday I just could not keep the news to myself any longer. We decided to start telling family and I totally underestimated how exciting it is to share that kind of news with people. We called Aaron's Mom, Dad, grandparents, and sister. They were all very excited for us. When Aaron told his Dad we would have to hold off on a rafting or ski trip, his Dad actually guessed the reason why! I guess we didn't realize just how hard people were trying not to put pressure on us! We met my parents for dinner. I tried to think up some unique or fun way to share the news and the best I could come up with was to buy a little newborn outfit, bring it to the restaurant , tell them I wanted to show them what I bought, and pull it out of the bag. We decided to create a blog because we want to share the joy and excitement of our pregnancy and growing family with all of our friends and family. We haven't started telling our good news yet, but decided we would start writing in hopes that once we share the good news you all can have a look and see just how excited we are! We started trying for baby in December. Aaron had a case of the baby bug and was really excited for us to get pregnant. For several months nothing happened and we started to get a little concerned (maybe we were overthinking it?). I made some doctor's appointments and was assured that most likely we would get pregnant.
