The Growing Caldwell Family

Charlie made a solo trip to Shreveport. The trip got off to a rough start when Aaron's car broke down on the way to bring Charlie to Grancy. Due to some mixups with AAA, they were on the side of the interstate for several hours in the summer heat. Lovie and Pops were at the lake and went to get them while Grancy and Gramma came on to get Charlie. What a day! Grancy and Ger Ger took Charlie, Hunter, and Mason camping in a cabin at Jellystone! Fun to have cousin time and pool time! He and. Grancy had some time just the two of them too! Grandaddy and MiMi drove Char back to the lake and we spent an evening with them! Fun to get a short visit in with them! This was their first time to visit the lake during the summer!  

Grancy, Aunt Arden, Austin, Hunter, and Mason came for a quick visit.  Charlie and Mason went to a baseball practice together and the rest of us went for ice cream! Don't worry, after baseball they got some ice cream too! We went to a Braves game on what was a super-hot evening! Aaron had been telling us this summer would be cooler than some and we all agreed we were not feeling it that night!  In spite of the heat, Austin, Hunter, and Mason enjoyed their first MLB game! Good to have time together!   

After several weeks of planning the decorations, it was time for Love Makes the World Go 'Round! This girl was a veteran and ready.  Setup Thanks to Dad for help building decor pieces! Rainbows and shamrocks for our "Lucky in Life" theme! How fun to have Grancy and Gramma visiting! SG was not our server, but she checked in frequently! Many thanks to Dad for taking Charlie to his game and then for his favorite, Luna Maya!  

  We took a mini road trip all over Shreveport to find Grancy a new tree and then had fun helping her decorate! Poor Charlie had an awful headache that kept him in bed while we did our early Christmas decorating. 

While we were visiting, Grancy had everyone over for an early Thanksgiving celebration.  Charlie woke us up saying that he "slept in the hood!" He's a jokester/! The lake made for a beautiful backdrop for these photos! Grancy hung a swing in a big tree and the kids really enjoyed playing out there! Uncle Les and Aunt Barbara were there and got to hear all about the kids' activities. Gramma was there too. It has been almost a year since we saw her last and it was so good to be together! It was a fun afternoon being with everyone!
