 Charlie looks so grown up this year! He is taking a lot of pride in fixing his hair and using some hair gel in it! With his sweet 1st grade class led by Ms. Kindrick and Ms. DeHart.

Charlie loves carrot cake and was so disappointed when I baked one for a co-worker's birthday and he didn't think he would get any. The recipe comes from Talk About Good  and it is not that difficult. I never get it to look real pretty, but it tastes delicious!  There were 2 big pieces of cake left and my colleague sent one home for Charlie. He was so excited and devoured it!

Talking about the LSU v. Alabama game, Charlie wanted to know if we would have prime-rib if LSU won. Several months ago he started talking about Clemson prime-rib. We have no idea where he got the idea! He doesn't eat prime-rib and we don't know anyone at Clemson! He talks about it a lot. Since LSU won, we decided to go to Copeland's for brunch where Charlie could try prime-rib and enjoy some other things too! We had a lovely time at brunch, but Charlie did not choose to try prime-rib. Maybe another time.

We were super-excited to watch LSU play Alabama! Everybody came together at Lovie and Pops' house to hang out and enjoy the game! Getting a win was very exciting!

We heard that the leaves were starting to turn and spontaneously decided to head to north Georgia to experience it. We went to Cloudland Canyon and had a great time! We hiked around, checked out beautiful views, a waterfall, and climbed into and under rocks! So much fun being together!
