The Growing Caldwell Family

We took a great vacation on a caribbean cruise! We visited the Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, Tortola, and Norwegian's island, Great Stirrup Cay. The weather was beautiful and it was a great time together! I took several hundred photos, but this is a sample of some of the great times we had! We boarded the ship on Father's Day. Not a bad way to celebrate! Kids hit the pool right away! There was an escape room called Bamboozled that was a highlight for Charlie! We got so close to saving the superhero! We had a fun time in Dominican Republic visiting a resort pool area that was lovely.  The lazy river is always a favorite for Olivia! The kids had fun steering the adults around.  Norwegian Escape (and Sarah Graves!) We did a snorkel cruise in St. Thomas. Snorkeling may not be our favorite activity, but the sailboat cruise was awesome! Of course, Sarah Graves decided a sailboat was the exact time she needed to get focused on her summer reading! Our last day on the cruise was at Castaway Cay. I had heard a lot of good things about Disney's island, so we were really excited!  The night before we weren't sure if we would be able to go. Jeanne' started feeling really ill when she went to bed and soon Livy was knocking on our adjoining door to get me to help. I wasn't sure what might be wrong but Jeanne' felt like her blood pressure was really high and she had symptoms of stomach flu. Unsure of what to do, I got mom and then we started working on what to do. Finally, when her tongue began to swell, it was decided she needed to see the ship doctor. As it turns out, Jeanne' has a lobster allergy that she has recently developed. The doctor took care of her and with a little sleep she was feeling fine. So glad it wasn't anything worse than that!
