Still at Home

As Aaron posted earlier, labor sort of slowed down late last night.  I have been having contractions all day, but they aren't organized and seem to stop and start.  I was able to lay down for a couple of hours and Mom and Aaron rested for a while, too. 
This afternoon, I went to Mom's accupuncturist to see if she could help with getting things going again.  We just came back from walking several miles, which always makes the contractions start.  It's just getting them organized so that they are productive. 
Aaron and Mom have both done some reading and this is not uncommon.  I am just feeling a little frustrated because I was all ready for labor to get going and meet this baby.  We'll stay home though until labor is organized.

WooHoo!!! Soooooo glad she is finally here!! Soooo glad all went well and you are a rock star -- going to the hospital at 3am then poof she was here at 7:20am.... way to go. I can't wait to see pictures and I am soooo jealous that my mom gets to see her in two weeks!!

Check-Up

Since Sarah Grves did not listen to our request and come over the weekend, we had our scheduled check-up this morning.  All looks good.  My blood pressure and measurements continue to be fine.  We heard her heartbeat and it always makes me smile to hear that sweet sound.  We also talked about my growing anxiety about not going into labor on my own.  Anjili is very reassuring that 90% of women do go into labor by 42 weeks and we have every reason to believe that I will too.  We also talked a bit about how even if we do have to use pitocin to induce labor it doesn't have to be as bad as I feared.  She said that she will try to make it possible to be able to move around even though you are hooked up to the monitor and the IV.  Hopefully, we will go into labor on our own! Kick Off to Summer

 We had a great start to summer! Downtime at the lake with family was perfect after the busy rush at the end of school! We spent time with Aunt Brenda, Nikki, Andrea, Bobby, Fisher, Brennan, Kade, Aunt Linda, and Maw Maw.  Time by the fire pit laughing and telling stories. No idea why I don't have pictures of Charlie or Aaron, but they were there! Time for a boat ride! In May the water is still cool but feels good after you get used to it! Good to have some time to bob! The much anticipated karaoke night! Nikki and Aunt Linda had us rolling as they performed their first number with instruments! Bobby joined in and Livy was his backup singer! Pops with the house band! My favorite karaoke stars! We even got Aaron up to sing!  We laughed so hard, cheered for each other, sang our hearts out, and had a wonderful time! Steak! And a lot of it! Yum! Charcuterie lunch! Mystery Tour

 Every six years there is a choir tour referred to as Mystery Tour since the kids (and parents) have no idea where they are going! We dropped her off super early and stalked facebook for clues about where she might be going!  As Ms. Kim gave her talk before they left, parents listened in and I love how she explained that they are representing not only our church, but Jesus in the world and need to behave that way.  Lovie was tracking her watch and could see them heading to Florida, Ft. Lauderdale to be exact! Yes, they spent a day at Universal Studios! There were stops in Charleston and Savannah They also went to Virginia Beach Stop at an alpaca farm! In addition to singing, Sis played the flute in the ensemble.  We thoroughly enjoyed their homecoming concert too!
