July 4th at the Lake
We spent July 4th at the lake with Aunt Tammy, Uncle Tim, and all of their family plus Aunt Linda and Maw Maw. Lots of cousins to play with!
Our July 4th got off to a rocky start. The first boat ride of the day, before Aaron and I were on the boat, Charlie had a wakeboard accident. He was doing a jump and the wakeboard caught him on the head slicing it open. He was a little stunned when it all happened but luckily cousin Eric was there to quickly pull him up out of the water and Sarah Graves started applying pressure. As soon as the boat was back she ran to alert Aaron.
Poor Charlie saw all the blood and panicked that he might bleed out. On the ride to the emergency room I explained that we were positive he would not die and he started to calm down.
The staff put him at ease and explained they see this type of thing a lot and soon he was back to smiling!
Being such a straight cut, it was easy to staple close. We were quickly on our way, made a stop to get his antibiotic and a Mr. Beast chocolate bar! After all that he quickly fell asleep.
Charlie had to stay out of the water, but Pops kept the boat rides going so all the kids could raft and boogie board.
Zack and Jack on the jet ski.
We broke out the karaoke machine and it didn't take long for most of the group to get going!
Lovie and I did "AA"
Jack really liked Charlie and Charlie adores little ones.
While the other kids were out on the boat, Aunt Linda and Charlie worked on this magic trick!
Eric made some yummy fried rice on the blackstone!
Uncle Tim fried up the eggrolls.
Pops and the dads took the kids on the boat to watch the big fireworks!
Abby, Macy, Sarah Graves, Emmy, Addison, and Kenianne
Cline, Charlie, and Wyatt
At two years old, Jack was fearless on the scooter! He passed Charlie and asked, "Want to race?"!
Time to be with cousins is so much fun!
