Charlie in Shreveport

Image
Charlie made a solo trip to Shreveport. The trip got off to a rough start when Aaron's car broke down on the way to bring Charlie to Grancy. Due to some mixups with AAA, they were on the side of the interstate for several hours in the summer heat. Lovie and Pops were at the lake and went to get them while Grancy and Gramma came on to get Charlie. What a day! Grancy and Ger Ger took Charlie, Hunter, and Mason camping in a cabin at Jellystone! Fun to have cousin time and pool time! He and. Grancy had some time just the two of them too! Grandaddy and MiMi drove Char back to the lake and we spent an evening with them! Fun to get a short visit in with them! This was their first time to visit the lake during the summer!

Mission Trip

We left the lake and headed to church to bring Sarah Graves to leave for mission trip in Kentucky. This was her first time going on mission trip and we have heard wonderful things about the experienc They stayed at a church and Sarah Graves' group worked at a day camp. She met sweet kids and gained an understanding of what life is like for some families.  They. went on a couple of outings in the evenings, one to see a Bats baseball game and another to visit Churchhill Downs. We picked her up and she was very happy to see her brother!

He was a little stunned when it all happened but luckily cousin Eric was there to quickly pull him up out of the water and Sarah Graves started applying pressure. As soon as the boat was back she ran to alert Aaron.  Poor Charlie saw all the blood and panicked that he might bleed out. On the ride to the emergency room I explained that we were positive he would not die and he started to calm down. The staff put him at ease and explained they see this type of thing a lot and soon he was back to smiling! Being such a straight cut, it was easy to staple close. We were quickly on our way, made a stop to get his antibiotic and a Mr. ...
