Prayers, please.

We need many prayers for Charlie tomorrow as he goes for his hand surgery.  I pray that he does well with the procedure, his surgeon is able to make good choices to give him the best outcome, and that we are able to keep him comfortable afterward.  The post surgery part is what makes me the most worried.  He will have a full arm cast and I know that will make him quite unhappy.  I also worry about his pain and us being sure that he isn't in a lot of pain in the days that follow.
We feel quite certain this is the best thing we could decide to do for him, but are just a little nervous about it.  I feel certain though that God is looking after my sweet boy and will take good care of him. I woke last night with the stomach flu and felt awful all day long today.  I have worried that I won't be recovered in order to go with Charlie in the morning, but his evening my fever broke and I ate some cereal for dinner.  Thanks be to God for that!  Not that I can do anything more for him than what Aaron will do, but I feel like it might give him some comfort to have both of us with him.

Check-Up

Since Sarah Grves did not listen to our request and come over the weekend, we had our scheduled check-up this morning.  All looks good.  My blood pressure and measurements continue to be fine.  We heard her heartbeat and it always makes me smile to hear that sweet sound.  We also talked about my growing anxiety about not going into labor on my own.  Anjili is very reassuring that 90% of women do go into labor by 42 weeks and we have every reason to believe that I will too.  We also talked a bit about how even if we do have to use pitocin to induce labor it doesn't have to be as bad as I feared.  She said that she will try to make it possible to be able to move around even though you are hooked up to the monitor and the IV.  Hopefully, we will go into labor on our own! Kick Off to Summer

 We had a great start to summer! Downtime at the lake with family was perfect after the busy rush at the end of school! We spent time with Aunt Brenda, Nikki, Andrea, Bobby, Fisher, Brennan, Kade, Aunt Linda, and Maw Maw.  Time by the fire pit laughing and telling stories. No idea why I don't have pictures of Charlie or Aaron, but they were there! Time for a boat ride! In May the water is still cool but feels good after you get used to it! Good to have some time to bob! The much anticipated karaoke night! Nikki and Aunt Linda had us rolling as they performed their first number with instruments! Bobby joined in and Livy was his backup singer! Pops with the house band! My favorite karaoke stars! We even got Aaron up to sing!  We laughed so hard, cheered for each other, sang our hearts out, and had a wonderful time! Steak! And a lot of it! Yum! Charcuterie lunch! While Sarah Graves was off on choir tour, we had some time with Charlie.  Play date with Ziggy. Always fun cooking up something, kicking a ball around, and inventing their own drink flavors! We spent a weekend at the lakel Then, it was time for Charlie to head off to Boy Scout camp! Sis came back from choir tour and got to work a journey for Seniors, a requirement before starting on the gold award.  Alexis was passing through Atlanta and we had a couple of great dinners! It was fun for her to see Sarah Graves too!
