End of School

Image
Just like that, we made it to the end of another school year. We were all weary from our crazy activity schedule, but we celebrated BIG! A little taller, a lot smarter, and so sweet! This sweet girl gets more mature and responsible all the time! After seven years of driving lower school carpool, this was my last time. It felt fitting to capture it since we have enjoyed many conversations while waiting here. After school, we headed to May Day to celebrate with all their friends! Charlie, Harrison, Harrison, and Ziggy Lana, SG, and Marcela From May Day we headed for a late lunch of pizza together. I took the afternoon off and soaked up some good times with my kiddos. Then we headed to a fun celebration at church! Olivia and Sarah Graves Charlie and Harrison So much fun! Good food, bouncies, ice cream sundaes, cotton candy, and good times with other sweet families! Even rain couldn't stop all this fun! The next night we headed to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate with family. Yum!  I lo...

Moving Up

Image
As we wrapped up the school year, it was time celebrate the Girl Scout year. Our Cadettes completed their journey and started work for their Silver award! I was lucky to attend the move up chapel. She is officially a seventh grader! Time is flying by and she is growing up so quickly! I can't believe we are starting to think seriously about which school she will attend for high school. So many exciting things to come for her and yet I wish I could keep her little.

School Fun

The end of school is always bittersweet and the end of year activities always make it memorable.  After much hard work in music class, they were ready to perform handbells in chapel and parents were able to attend! Charlie's class went on a field trip to the Fernbank Museum. As always, the bus ride and picnic lunch were the highlight of the field trip! His sweet third grade family.

Middle School Dance

It doesn't seem possible that Sarah Graves went to her first middle school dance.  When it came to attire, she started off planning to wear cutoffs and a t shirt, but with a little convincing she changed her mind to wear a dress. Because there is safety in numbers, we invited several friends to enjoy dinner and primp together before going to the dance. Marcela, Chloe, Chase, and Anna Grace all dressed up and ready to go.  Showing their sass here! No dancing with boys or budding romances for this girl, but judging by these pics, her first dance was a lot of fun!

Spring Baseball

Charlie wasn't on a championship team, but he fell in love with the game and played with so much heart! Charlie takes the game very personal and took every loss to heart. After many tears following games, we came to understand that a missed hit or an out when his team lost was devastating! Thanks to his very kind and encouraging coach, Coach Varkoly, for building his confidence.  Charlie will play catch anytime with anyone who will play!  Fortunately, Aaron is willing to toss the ball whenever he can.  For the D-back celebration I made these cupcakes that I was really proud of!  The best part about the celebration was the chance to play ball with his teammates! Charlie's coach told each player what he appreciated about them and for Charlie it was his attitude and how well he listened! Those traits will take him far.

12U Softball

Sarah Graves had the good fortune of being on another winning softball team! She worked hard over the season to improve her fielding and hitting.  Having a friend come cheer her on is always fun! We had our share of playing in the cold, rain, and the heat! Coach gave her the game ball for her attitude and support of her teammates. I made a Texas sheet cake for their end of season celebration. I was pretty proud of the decorating and it tasted great! Championship play is a little different for 12U. Their team was in 1st place and still had to battle all day to make it to the championship game! When her team needed it in the 3rd game, Sis came through with a hit and a run to help them win it! The girls had fun hanging out in their hospitality tent. Thank goodness it was in a shady area with fans to keep the girls cool on this hot day! Their last game was a tough one. Their opponents were strong players with friends and family who said mean things and showed poor sportsmanship. Their ...
