When Sissy has early morning activities on Wednesday, we get a breakfast date together! Love the chance to sit with him one-on-one and hear about sixth grade. 


School canceled for hurricane Helene and Charlie took the time to bake a skillet cookie! Warm and gooey like at Chili's!

At Epiphany, Aaron gave the four of us tickets to see Hootie and the Blowfish. Unfortunately, Sarah Graves had a game to play at so she wasn't able to go. Instead, Charlie brought Ziggy and we had a great time!

It was intensely hot until the sun went down! These guys enjoyed walking around and getting all the freebies from concert sponsors!

Edwin McCain opened and he was great - very humble and funny!

Collective Soul also played and who knew they were from the Atlanta area and I knew more of their songs than I remembered!




It was a fun night! Not sure we convinced these guys to love our music!

Aaron and Charlie spent an awesome weekend at a Boy Scout campout at Talladega!


Love this! It was especially awesome because we watched Talladega Nights with Charlie over the summer and he thought it was hilarious! 



So proud of Charlie for putting in the work to get his next rank of Tenderfoot! He is already working on requirements for Second Class!

Check-Up

Since Sarah Grves did not listen to our request and come over the weekend, we had our scheduled check-up this morning.  All looks good.  My blood pressure and measurements continue to be fine.  We heard her heartbeat and it always makes me smile to hear that sweet sound.  We also talked about my growing anxiety about not going into labor on my own.  Anjili is very reassuring that 90% of women do go into labor by 42 weeks and we have every reason to believe that I will too.  We also talked a bit about how even if we do have to use pitocin to induce labor it doesn't have to be as bad as I feared.  She said that she will try to make it possible to be able to move around even though you are hooked up to the monitor and the IV.  Hopefully, we will go into labor on our own! One of the things that she cautioned us about is that even though family and friends are well meaning and excited to meet the new baby, the constant focus on whether labor has begu...

Kick Off to Summer

 We had a great start to summer! Downtime at the lake with family was perfect after the busy rush at the end of school! We spent time with Aunt Brenda, Nikki, Andrea, Bobby, Fisher, Brennan, Kade, Aunt Linda, and Maw Maw.  Time by the fire pit laughing and telling stories. No idea why I don't have pictures of Charlie or Aaron, but they were there! Time for a boat ride! In May the water is still cool but feels good after you get used to it! Good to have some time to bob! The much anticipated karaoke night! Nikki and Aunt Linda had us rolling as they performed their first number with instruments! Bobby joined in and Livy was his backup singer! Pops with the house band! My favorite karaoke stars! We even got Aaron up to sing!  We laughed so hard, cheered for each other, sang our hearts out, and had a wonderful time! Steak! And a lot of it! Yum! Charcuterie lunch! This and That

While Sarah Graves was off on choir tour, we had some time with Charlie.  Play date with Ziggy. Always fun cooking up something, kicking a ball around, and inventing their own drink flavors! We spent a weekend at the lakel Then, it was time for Charlie to head off to Boy Scout camp! Sis came back from choir tour and got to work a journey for Seniors, a requirement before starting on the gold award.  Alexis was passing through Atlanta and we had a couple of great dinners! It was fun for her to see Sarah Graves too!
