Lake Trip

The kids had several days off school for Easter break and Lovie and Pops took them to the lake. 
Even though the weather had not been that warm, Charlie had it in his mind that he was going swimming. He insisted on packing a swimsuit and I was a little surprised when I saw him happily swimming in the lake! Sarah Graves said it was much too cold and didn't even bother with a swimsuit!

Pops pulled out the raft and gave them a ride!

Sissy was happy to drive the boat. From what I heard, she was a big helper the whole time!

Did I mention he was dead set on enjoying the usual lake activities? When he gets something on his mind, he doesn't give up.

He also enjoyed a game of chess with Pops. He understands the rules pretty well, but was outdone when Pops beat him!

The weather was beautiful and bike riding was perfect on a spring day.

Turns out, a u-haul trailer is a lot of fun! Makes me think of the fun time I had in high school riding to prom in a u-haul trailer!

The kids had a great time and Lovie and Pops survived all their craziness!

Check-Up

Since Sarah Grves did not listen to our request and come over the weekend, we had our scheduled check-up this morning.  All looks good.  My blood pressure and measurements continue to be fine.  We heard her heartbeat and it always makes me smile to hear that sweet sound.  We also talked about my growing anxiety about not going into labor on my own.  Anjili is very reassuring that 90% of women do go into labor by 42 weeks and we have every reason to believe that I will too.  We also talked a bit about how even if we do have to use pitocin to induce labor it doesn't have to be as bad as I feared.  She said that she will try to make it possible to be able to move around even though you are hooked up to the monitor and the IV.  Hopefully, we will go into labor on our own! Kick Off to Summer

 We had a great start to summer! Downtime at the lake with family was perfect after the busy rush at the end of school! We spent time with Aunt Brenda, Nikki, Andrea, Bobby, Fisher, Brennan, Kade, Aunt Linda, and Maw Maw.  Time by the fire pit laughing and telling stories. No idea why I don't have pictures of Charlie or Aaron, but they were there! Time for a boat ride! In May the water is still cool but feels good after you get used to it! Good to have some time to bob! The much anticipated karaoke night! Nikki and Aunt Linda had us rolling as they performed their first number with instruments! Bobby joined in and Livy was his backup singer! Pops with the house band! My favorite karaoke stars! We even got Aaron up to sing!  We laughed so hard, cheered for each other, sang our hearts out, and had a wonderful time! Steak! And a lot of it! Yum! Charcuterie lunch! Mystery Tour

 Every six years there is a choir tour referred to as Mystery Tour since the kids (and parents) have no idea where they are going! We dropped her off super early and stalked facebook for clues about where she might be going!  As Ms. Kim gave her talk before they left, parents listened in and I love how she explained that they are representing not only our church, but Jesus in the world and need to behave that way.  Lovie was tracking her watch and could see them heading to Florida, Ft. Lauderdale to be exact! Yes, they spent a day at Universal Studios! There were stops in Charleston and Savannah They also went to Virginia Beach Stop at an alpaca farm! In addition to singing, Sis played the flute in the ensemble.  We thoroughly enjoyed their homecoming concert too!
