Lunch with Momma

The kids spent a week at camp at Little Apron and that means lunches with Momma!


Charlie had Sarah Graves' pre-k teacher, Ms. Marlene that week and she was so good to him! Sissy was happy to see her too!


Sissy enjoyed her camp doing various things and having a field trip to the Botanical Garden! Her friend Corina was there too and she met other kids she liked!


While Sissy was on her field trip, I had a special date with this guy! He told me silly stories, we talked about superheroes, and discussed his Sponge Bob birthday party!

Check-Up

Since Sarah Grves did not listen to our request and come over the weekend, we had our scheduled check-up this morning.  All looks good.  My blood pressure and measurements continue to be fine.  We heard her heartbeat and it always makes me smile to hear that sweet sound.  We also talked about my growing anxiety about not going into labor on my own.  Anjili is very reassuring that 90% of women do go into labor by 42 weeks and we have every reason to believe that I will too.  We also talked a bit about how even if we do have to use pitocin to induce labor it doesn't have to be as bad as I feared.  She said that she will try to make it possible to be able to move around even though you are hooked up to the monitor and the IV.  Hopefully, we will go into labor on our own! Check-Up

We had another check-up today and all looks good.  We met with Margaret and really liked her a lot.  For me everything looks good.  Blodd pressure is right on, weight looks good, and the measurements show good growth.  Baby girl had a good heartbeat and is now positioned with her head down and anterior.  She hasn't dropped yet, but her head is getting low.  Margaret expects that she will drop about 2 weeks before delivery.  I can't believe how close it is getting!  I am getting so excited to meet her!

Kick Off to Summer

 We had a great start to summer! Downtime at the lake with family was perfect after the busy rush at the end of school! We spent time with Aunt Brenda, Nikki, Andrea, Bobby, Fisher, Brennan, Kade, Aunt Linda, and Maw Maw.  Time by the fire pit laughing and telling stories. No idea why I don't have pictures of Charlie or Aaron, but they were there! Time for a boat ride! In May the water is still cool but feels good after you get used to it! Good to have some time to bob! The much anticipated karaoke night! Nikki and Aunt Linda had us rolling as they performed their first number with instruments! Bobby joined in and Livy was his backup singer! Pops with the house band! My favorite karaoke stars! We even got Aaron up to sing!  We laughed so hard, cheered for each other, sang our hearts out, and had a wonderful time! Steak! And a lot of it! Yum! Charcuterie lunch!
