Beach Day 2

Our beach days are spent going from the pool to the beach and back. The kids love to use sand toys to "bake" cookies and cakes in the sand. Aunt Nay bought the set of baking toys for the sand a couple of years ago and they were an immediate favorite! In the pool they love for Pops to play with them on the shark "surf boards" letting them stand up and surf in the pool! These laid back days with time spent together are so wonderful.








After beach and pool time, Jeanne', Aaron, and I ventured out with the kiddos for dinner at Floyd's. As a kid I was a picky eater (okay, I still am), but I LOVED fried shrimp. My parents would take me to a restaurant with fried shrimp on the seafood buffet and I would go to town! Floyd's offers all you can eat shrimp and fish and um, I am capable of putting away quite a few popcorn shrimp (those are my favorite)!
Olivia was with us but we didn't get a picture with her - not sure why.

This silly boy was so pleased with the sticker on his head!



After dinner we went for some yummy ice cream! These two were the only ones posing!

These laid back days with time spent together are so wonderful.

Check-Up

Since Sarah Grves did not listen to our request and come over the weekend, we had our scheduled check-up this morning.  All looks good.  My blood pressure and measurements continue to be fine.  We heard her heartbeat and it always makes me smile to hear that sweet sound.  We also talked about my growing anxiety about not going into labor on my own.  Anjili is very reassuring that 90% of women do go into labor by 42 weeks and we have every reason to believe that I will too.  We also talked a bit about how even if we do have to use pitocin to induce labor it doesn't have to be as bad as I feared.  She said that she will try to make it possible to be able to move around even though you are hooked up to the monitor and the IV.  Hopefully, we will go into labor on our own! One of the things that she cautioned us about is that even though family and friends are well meaning and excited to meet the new baby, the constant focus on whether labor has begu...

Kick Off to Summer

 We had a great start to summer! Downtime at the lake with family was perfect after the busy rush at the end of school! We spent time with Aunt Brenda, Nikki, Andrea, Bobby, Fisher, Brennan, Kade, Aunt Linda, and Maw Maw.  Time by the fire pit laughing and telling stories. No idea why I don't have pictures of Charlie or Aaron, but they were there! Time for a boat ride! In May the water is still cool but feels good after you get used to it! Good to have some time to bob! The much anticipated karaoke night! Nikki and Aunt Linda had us rolling as they performed their first number with instruments! Bobby joined in and Livy was his backup singer! Pops with the house band! My favorite karaoke stars! We even got Aaron up to sing!  We laughed so hard, cheered for each other, sang our hearts out, and had a wonderful time! Steak! And a lot of it! Yum! Charcuterie lunch! This and That

While Sarah Graves was off on choir tour, we had some time with Charlie.  Play date with Ziggy. Always fun cooking up something, kicking a ball around, and inventing their own drink flavors! We spent a weekend at the lakel Then, it was time for Charlie to head off to Boy Scout camp! Sis came back from choir tour and got to work a journey for Seniors, a requirement before starting on the gold award.  Alexis was passing through Atlanta and we had a couple of great dinners! It was fun for her to see Sarah Graves too!
