The Growing Caldwell Family

A free dress day on a Friday put a spring in their step!  

While Aaron and Sarah Graves were camping, Charlie and I had a weekend together! Friday night, Charlie wanted Golden Corral for dinner! We ate too much and came home to relax. Saturday morning, the weather was beautiful and we went out to ride bikes! It took a little work to get tires aired up and seats adjusted, then we were off exploring the neighborhood.  He had a great time riding around in the cool morning air.  We headed over to spend the day at Six Flags! We tried out the redone Mind Bender and had a great time on Pandemonium! Charlie was all about food and he chose Luna Maya for his favorite nachos! We finished off the evening with Italian ice for dessert! What a treat! Fun to have time with this sweet and silly guy!  

Aaron and Sarah Graves were excited for a daddy daughter campout at the girl scout camp! Sarah Graves directed the packing, planned the menu, and put a lot off thought into this camping trip.  They had beautiful fall weather! She loves to do archery and Aaron said she was hitting the target better than the adults! Just relaxing in the hammock! They did a little crafting too!  She loved making s'mores over their fire and her cooking on the camp stove came out good!  On the way home they stopped off at Bucee's for breakfast treats! A giant peanut butter cup!  

This handsome guy went to his first cotillion class all dressed up! Luckily, he likes to dress up and was pleased to be going! Having his buddies there made it really fun!  

Sarah Graves loves the camaraderie with her teammates. This year they decided to take a knee when their batter has two strikes. They cheer and chant for each other and keep it fun!  Sis earned her bronze award in Girl Scouts! It started in the spring planning a garden that used native plants and they decided it should provide a place for bats to make a home. The project was finally finished when Sarah Graves built and hung a bat house and helped several scout  friends plant their garden.  She was proud to earn this award and is looking forward to her Silver Award project!  

 Our Labor Day was much quieter in years past due to a cousin having COVID, so the extended family stayed home to quarantine after the exposure. Those hard decisions to make and not fun for anyone. The kids love spending time with cousins and having more kids to play with in the water! We missed celebrating Maw Maw with her kids, grandkids, and great grands. We will have to do it big in 2022! We got an early start to the day and got the kids to skiing and wakeboarding! Nay and Livy showed us all a spot they found with a rope swing and a spot to swim! Sissy showed us all her new flute! She hasn't worked up to playing a song yet, but she is working hard.  We had a good time celebrating Maw Maw's birthday! She humored me and wore this fun birthday clip I got her! Sissy made her brownies and Lovie baked an apple pie! We served it up a la mode for a real treat! Sissy loves her Lovie so! Charlie made Maw Maw a sweet card.  Livy loves to write her name in cards!
