The Growing Caldwell Family

Charlie was pumped to be out of quarantine and heading back to school in person! Happy for him!  

There may not be Mardi Gras parades this year, but we still had a fun night enjoying king cake! Mom's friend sent this awesome king cake kit and she did an awesome job making it! So good! Charlie really enjoyed it and was so excited when he found the baby! He generously gave it to Olivia! Ms. Janan brought some balloons and party decorations that the kids loved! She may be 11, but she still gets in Lovie's lap for some cuddles!   

Charlie was so excited to go on a special outing to celebrate his friend Harrison's birthday!  They went to Ponce City Market to enjoy games and rides on the rooftop. He had a blast and came home so excited!   

In the midst of a really cold game with sleet, Charlie played so well! He had to learn several new plays and they had a switch up on players to complicate things! His player of the week win was made even better when his bestie, Harrison, won it for the other team! Charlie loves playing football and works so hard out there!  

Thursday night I saw an email about registration for softball, Friday Sarah Graves decided she would like to do it, and Saturday we were at the ball field for assessments!  We stopped on the way to pick up some gear! She had never picked up a bat, but managed to get a small hit! Way to go, baby! She has had Aaron and Charlie out in the yard throwing to her and practicing grounders! So happy for her to have a new passion!  

Aaron and Sarah Graves baked me a birthday cake and they all had sweet cards and thoughtful gifts to celebrate me! Over the weekend, we went to Mom and Dad's to celebrate. I chose stewed chicken and chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream for my birthday dinner! Thanks to Mom for that delicious treat! Love having my favorite people celebrating with me!  

On a freezing cold day, we had the pleasure of being there to see Sarah Graves be recognized for her drawing being chosen to represent April in the Georgia Fire Safety calendar. Even Charlie was there to watch since he was on virtual learning.  Sarah Graves' classmates Marcela and Walt were also chosen for a drawing and an essay.  Her drawing focused on fire safety in the living room. The man on the ladder is changing the battery in the smoke detector. She put the Braves on the TV thinking that would appeal to the judges! Sarah Graves loves to draw and I am so happy for her to receive recognition for it.
