The Growing Caldwell Family

We had a fun time with Grancy and Gramma! They came to help with the kids while Lovie was out of town and we celebrated Christmas with them!  The kids really looked forward to doing their gingerbread houses with them. They love traditions and this has become one of the Christmas traditions for them. Staying cozy while they wake up early for school. Opening gifts is always fun! Charlie was excited about a lava lamp and Nerf guns! This new babysitter Skipper got a big smile from Sissy. So did this lava lamp! We are so grateful that they came to spend time with us! The kids love being with them and soak up all the special attention they get! Aaron and I really appreciate the time with them and all the help they give. 

We had a fun time enjoying pancakes with St. Nicholas at church. Charlie slept over with his buddy Miles and met up with Shafer at the breakfast. Fun when your buddies are also at church! Sarah Graves was excited to receive chocolate coins from St. Nicholas.

We ended up being ready unusually early for school one morning, so we decided to go to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast - a rare treat! We were even ready with enough time to go in and eat!  When we ordered, we had the pleasure of the person in front of us having paid it forward and bought our breakfast. I asked to do the same for someone else - their $1.39 purchase. It was still a nice feeling. We were also first in carpool line - something we haven't accomplished often this year!

The kids haven't been to the office much lately. No real reason why. It just hasn't been convenient to have them come up and visit. On this particular day, Lovie and Pops were traveling and school called for me to come see about Sarah Graves because they suspected pink eye. It was time to pick Charlie up, so I got them both and brought them back to the office with me.  The plan was to take Sarah Graves to the Minute Clinic on-site, but there were too many people signed up for appointments. I ended up showing them around to my team and showing them where everyone sits. Sarah Graves taught everyone about slime making and Charlie was shy but sweet. I was pretty proud of how well they handled themselves! While we were there, we checked out the decorations on display on Main Street and had to get some pictures with favorites!

The next Friday we made plans to go to the movie and didn't take any chances on it being sold out! Charlie has loved Wreck It Ralph for a while, so we knew we had to see Ralph Breaks the Internet. It was so cute and funny, just like we hoped it would be!

The kids were excited to have a free dress at school. They don't get them often, so it's a pretty big thing and we had to get photos! Love seeing their personalities come out through their fashion! So much fun.

The kids had a great time going to Home Depot's Kids Workshop with Daddy and making these Santa sleighs. Their date with daddy is always a big hit!
