Flowers, Grandparents, and Kids - Oh My!

Image
On Memorial Day we enjoyed a breakfast at R. Thomas followed by a trip to the Botanical Gardens.  R. Thomas is an interesting restaurant with a menu that slants toward healthy food, an interior that is very eclectic and a little funky, and lots of birds outside!    With fully bellies we headed to the Botanical Gardens and thoroughly enjoyed the sculptures as well as all the flowers! A stop in the children's area gave them a fun time to run and play! Grandaddy and Me Me had to leave for the airport that evening, but Sarah Graves managed to work in a little more time doing play-doh with Me Me!   We had such a fun weekend and are so glad to get to visit with them!

Fun with Grandparents

The kids had Grandaddy up early in the morning "cooking" him breakfast!   We took them for a real breakfast at the kids' favorite place, First Watch.  Sarah Graves serenaded us all with her best rendition of "Let It Go."  Fortunately, it's a bustling, family-friendly type restaurant, so no one was bothered and grandparents were delighted with the performance! Charlie settled right in for some couch time watching Frozen.   He also let Grandaddy carry him up to bed.   Charlie loves to swing and every time Grandaddy took him out to swing, it started to rain!

Goodbye Preschool!

Image
Sarah Graves has really enjoyed her time in Preschool at Little Apron.  She has sweet friends in her class and really likes her teachers, Ms. Sharon and Mr. Jason.  She will be starting Pre-K in the fall and they decided to move her into that classroom over the summer.  She is THRILLED to be moving up too, so she hasn't been sad.   Her teacher, Ms. Sharon, is lots of fun and planned an afternoon for the preschoolers to show off what they have learned as a class for their parents.  Her friend Annabelle wanted to be in the picture too! They sang their morning song, showed how they recognize letters, count to 100, and are starting to sound out words!  It is so neat to see them as a cohesive group together! This is Sarah Graves with her other teacher Mr. Jason.

Weekend Visitors

Grandaddy and Me Me came to visit for Memorial Day and it was non stop for them!  The kids weren't shy about wanting their attention and they jumped right in!  They played on the iPad, played Legos, and had the full experience of dining out at Stoney River with two behaved, but spirited children!

Silly Bathing

These two took a bubble bath together and enjoyed it so much!  There was lots of splashing and lots of laughing!

Li'l Swimmer

Sarah Graves has been very excited to learn to swim and her hard work is showing!  She recently completed level 1 in her swim program!  She is very excited to start work on level 2!  It is a lot of fun to see her excited about learning to do something that I enjoy so much!

Ballet Rehearsal

Sarah Graves' ballet recital is coming upend we had her dress rehearsal.  It was too much cuteness!  Sarah Graves and her friend London.  They have been in the same class for the past two years. A sailor salute. This buddy was as sweet and well behaved as he could be!
